Mayor Isko Moreno nagpa-boodle fight

Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Monday, September 30, encouraged the public to buy local pork in support of Filipino farmers.

Domagoso also joined a “boodle fight” with Agriculture Secretary William Dar and members of the Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura and National Federation of Hog Farmers Inc.

The Manila Veterinary Inspection Board has already assured the public that consuming pork is safe because the “African Swine Fever” can only be transmitted to pigs, not humans.
