Manila City Acting Mayor Dr. Honey Lacuna-Pangan on Wednesday visited an injured police corporal who was shot by an unidentified gunman

Police Corporal Edmar Nixon Fesway, assigned to Baseco Police Community Precinct under Ermita Police Station, was conducting “Oplan Sita” beside Atienza Elementary School.

When Police Corporal Fesway flagged down a tricycle, a gunman riding the vehicle opened fire at him, injuring his chest and right arm.

The gunman and another suspect tried to flee the scene, but Baseco PCP officers and other MPD Station 5 personnel were able to respond to the armed encounter.

One suspect was neutralized (dead on arrival at Gat Andres Hospital) while the other is still at large.
