New Zealand's opposition leader courtesy call on Mayor Isko

New Zealand's opposition leader Simon Bridge commended Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso for initiating efforts to make the nation's capital great again.

Bridge paid a courtesy call on Domagoso on Monday, January 20, at City Hall.

“You are running this great city, the Philippines needs Manila to succeed,” he told the Manila City Mayor.

In response, Domagoso humbly recognized the support of the city's citizens in his bid to create a good and focused governance.

“What we’re doing here is just the basic. There is so much chaos and we’re trying to resolve it,” Domagoso said.

“Manila is the window of the Philippines, whatever they see here is what they think of the entire country—that’s why we’re trying to revive it. We used to be the Paris of the East, the Pearl of the Orient,” he added.
