Manila LGU starts construction of 4th housing project

The fourth housing project of the local government unit (LGU) of Manila has started on Monday, August 9. Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso led the groundbreaking ceremony for the San Lazaro Housing project.

Domagoso said that, even during the Enhanced Community Quarantine due to #COVID19 pandemic, the city government still wants to accomplish their promise to give houses for the residents of Manila that still have no home.

The moment the project is finished, 382 families are possible to be helped to get a new home in the Manila City, the mayor said.

The 20-storey San Lazaro Residences has 382 units, 132 parking slots, Manila public health laboratory, its own health center, swimming pool, activity lawn, function room, roof garden and roof deck, three rentable space and indoor and outdoor activity areas.

Domagoso explained that the housing project is to improve the way of living for the residents of his area.

“Disenteng masisilungan, mauuwian, maibabalik natin ang dignidad ng pamilyang Manilenyo. Hangga't kaya natin, hindi tayo titigil. Who would [have] thought na pwede pala, kaya pala? So ‘pag tayo nagtulong-tulong at nagsama-sama, nagkaisa, may patutunguhan pala ang bangka natin,” he emphasized.
